You obviously have strolled around in a mall trying to buy something. Now, recall this, how many time have you bought a product just because its packaging seemed prettier? Does its commercial makes you want to buy it? Or do you trust the product because of the awesomeness of its brand? Well, that's the power of branding and that's exactly when branding concepts come into action.

Your company's brand is not its logo, it's not your name... it's the vision of your company. Vision is the all-inclusive package of brand identity, name, marketing, premium, loyalty, faith and its value to be delivered. 

Every brand needs to have its vision clear, similar to its parent. There are numerous brands out there but not all are successful as some of them. So before creating a brand some very important questions that we need to answer are:

  • Who precisely are you trying to reach?
  • What change are you trying to make?

There can be only two reasons for the existence of your product: either it caters to the demand in market, or it has its own demand. 

The demand effects the sale, the sale effects the analytics of market. Brand value is dependent of market analysis.

  •  Brand name: With a easily pronounceable name, it should also speak of product's benefits/quality directly or indirectly. Like Dove...it represents softness and lightness, which is appropriate to advertise to women for their skin and hair.        
  • Brand logo: This has to create a lasting impression on your customer. Changing it with passing time is also a good idea to keep the audience engaged and attracted to your brand.
  • Tagline: There's nothing better than a rich tagline for your product. It should have a clear and clever message about your product and it wouldn't hurt to make it catchy. Take McDonalds' tagline for example... we're not going to write it here, but you know what it is. That's the power of a great tagline.
  • Packaging: No matter how great your product is, if it isn't pretty to look at, you might as well dump it in trash yourself. Packaging attracts people more than anything, people prefer beautiful stuff, make sure your product reeks of it.
  • Marketing: as P.T. Barnum once said, "Without marketing, only one thing happens and that is nothing" Your brand is as strong as your marketing is. With no marketing, even the greatest product fail.

With all due respect to your product, there's nothing you can do about it if it's ready and available in the market. The only thing you can do to influence people to pour interest in your product is build a better brand image and marketing of the product should create havoc in the market. If your product lacks feature, it will pass. If your product is not user-friendly, it may pass. But, if your product is unknown and has stale marketing written all over it, then you have a reason to worry.
